The Challenge
Hail punctured the roof and a lifted ridge cap let wind-driven rain straight into the attic during a spring storm. The homeowner called at 11:40 PM with water coming through three ceilings at once and hail still falling. Every hour the roof stayed open meant more water working its way into insulation, drywall, and framing.
The Approach
Bravo Zulu tarped roughly 900 square feet of roof in the rain that same night to stop the source, then went to work inside draining trapped water and containing the three affected rooms. Saturated blown-in insulation was pulled before it could collapse the ceiling drywall on its own. Rather than patch the attic back to what was there before, it was re-insulated to current code as part of the rebuild.
One contract, one crew, from the emergency tarp through the finished roof to the finished ceilings. The homeowner did not have to coordinate a separate roofer, a separate drywall contractor, and a separate insulation crew.
The Results
The interior reached a documented dry standard in 4 days, the new roof was on in 9, and the full rebuild, including all three ceilings and re-insulation, was complete in 3 weeks from the first call.
